Now Winter has arrived, the evenings are noticeably shorter and the temperature has dropped, there are a few things changes that will need to be made.
Ideally you should have a coat for your dog to help keep them dry. This will stop their coat getting matted and dirty.
Keep your dog warm where you can. A coat can help with this too.
As the amount of daylight will greatly reduce now is a time to wear reflective clothing for both you and you dog when you go out walking.
After a walk outside check their paws and remove any snow or winter salt you may find in their paws.
Beware of any areas of frozen water such as lakes that may not take the weight of your dog or even you if you had to try assist your dog.
